What is Emergency First Aid?

Well, it’s exactly that, the first aid to be offered if an incident occurs. Thankfully not many of us are confronted with scenes of blood and gore in our everyday lives – usually, first aid could be as simple as sticking a plaster on a small cut.                                                                                                                                     Does this course look at what you should do if you find yourself confronted with a more serious first-aid situation?

We look at the immediate actions that save lives!

In the most serious situations, a first aider’s role could be to assess the scene so that accurate information can be passed to Emergency services and then to act appropriately to try and increase the patient’s odds of survival.

This Emergency First Aid Refresher course will highlight some of the most common situations that you might come across and the actions that you can take to help.

Course Modules

What is First Aid? Barriers, ABCs and the recovery position, CPR and AED, Choking
Bleeding, Shock, Spinal injuries, Breaks, Head Injuries, Sprains,
Managing an incident & Recordkeeping, Burns and Scalds, Electric Shock, Eye Injuries
Anaphylaxis and Diabetes, Heart Attack & Stroke.

Certification

On successful completion of our course, you will be emailed a safety training quality assured certificate. This can be used to provide evidence for compliance and audit. This course is approved by Approved IIRSM.
