Despite being born with or acquiring learning disabilities they are lifelong; they can affect how one perceives, understands and remembers information furthermore, impacting their learning and communication skills.

There are many forms of learning disability, and each possesses varying characteristics.

Our course will begin by providing an overview of the common types and causes of learning disabilities and how they impact different people. It will also discuss how a person-centred approach will achieve the best results regarding effective care; also look at how management must perform to meet the needs of the individual. In addition, the course will also touch on overcoming the stigma attached to learning disabilities, alongside much more.

Delegates will come away from the course with a greater understanding of what a learning disability is and the best, most effective ways to manage it.
