Noise in the workplace can cause permanent and disabling hearing damage.

However, this damage is avoidable if the correct steps are taken to prevent this as once your hearing is gone you cannot get it back. A loss of hearing can also interfere with communications by stopping people from being able to understand or follow conversations and therefore, can make verbal warnings or alarms harder to hear. These issues can further lead to safety risks that put people at risk of injury or even death.

Our course will show you how dangerous noise can be in the workplace, and the main safety issues you should be aware of. It will take you through some of the simple science, and the main laws that apply and introduce you to noise level limits. It also covers some of the specific health risks and how to avoid them by producing risk assessments, and action plans and through the provision of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment.

Delegates will come away from our course with an understanding of the legislation around noise in the workplace, the health risks posed when dealing with noise in the workplace, personal protective equipment that can help prevent hearing issues and much more.
