Intelligence suggests further terror attacks in our country are ‘highly likely’.
In addition, experience tells us that threats don’t just come from foreign naturals but from terrorists born and bred in Britain. In addition, it is, therefore, vital that our counter-terrorism strategy contains a plan to prevent radicalisation. The prevention strategy, published by the government is part of the overall counter-terrorism strategy
Our course starts with an overview of the Government’s Prevent strategy and then looks at some of the reasons people become extremists. It goes on to cover the objectives of the Prevent strategy, how to base your actions on a risk-based approach, what to do if you are concerned and much more.
Delegates will come away from our course understanding the importance of prevention and how to recognise radicalisation, alongside a clear understanding of what to do if they are worried about radicalisation or terrorism.
Introduction to the course, What is prevent?, Prevent objectives, Delivering prevention with a risk-based approach, Extremism, Radicalisation, Terrorism, What should you do if you are concerned, The channel process and British Values.
